Backup management is part of our data security measures and enables the recovery of lost or damaged data. You will find all the relevant information below.
How often are backups created?
Backups are created daily.
How long are backups stored?
Backups are kept for the last 30 days. After the 30-day retention period has expired, the backups are deleted and can no longer be restored.
How are backups protected?
To ensure reliability, the backup is replicated and also stored at a different location. Backups are protected by modern security measures such as encryption and access control.
Which data is backed up?
A complete backup of the database is created. Uploaded files in onboard also remain available for 30 days until they are completely deleted.
Can I create my own backups?
Yes, as an additional security measure, we recommend that you regularly create your own backups in addition to the archiving procedure we provide. The relevant data can be retrieved automatically via our interface and thus backed up independently in order to fulfil individual compliance requirements.
Are there special requirements for customers with sensitive data?
Yes, according to Art. 8.4 of our GTC, customers with particularly sensitive data are obliged to create their own backups at appropriate intervals. We offer you additional advice and support in implementing your customised backup strategy.
How can I restore lost or damaged data?
onboard can carry out a recovery process for lost or damaged data upon written request. Please write to us at support@onboard.org
