The Messenger feature helps you to keep communication with your employees as simple and clear as possible.
Use of the messenger
You can use Messenger to handle all communication with your employees directly via onboard.
This means that you don’t have to leave onboard to reply to employees via your email programme, for example. Everything works conveniently and easily via the messenger in onboard.
The messenger can be used both for communicating with individual employees and for sending group messages. It also includes many practical functions, such as the option of working with templates, attaching documents and automatically filing them in the employee file and, of course, sending time-delayed messages.
If your employees have access to their own file via the onboard app, they can also use Messenger independently for internal communication.
Your company is provided with its own email address for sending messages. The sender you have given us is displayed for the employee.
The messages are synchronised with our server every few minutes.

Frequently asked questions
Can I block Messenger for certain users?
The Messenger feature can be enabled or disabled separately in the role settings for the Talent Management area, find out more here: https://support.onboard.org/hc/rollen-management-talent-management-modul/
What happens to my existing messages and mail templates when I switch to the new Messenger?
You can of course continue to use your existing mail templates after the launch. Communication with your employees will also be integrated directly into the Messenger history during the migration. You can find more information about the migration here: Migration
Some of my employees share email addresses, but does sending still work?
The sender’s email address is checked and a corresponding address is searched for in the files in order to assign the email responses to the correct employee file. It is therefore essential that each employee has an individual e-mail address saved in their file. Otherwise, the correct assignment of messages cannot be guaranteed.
